【不离】法王如意宝：避免跌入嫉妒深渊的最佳方法是？
别人有福报，一定要随喜
Rejoice in the Fortune and Merit of Others
作为发了大乘菩提心的人，本来众生的快乐应该由我来给予，
As a person who has generated Mahayana bodhichitta, I am the one who should bring happiness to living beings.
但现在他们以自身的福德，获得了名闻利养，对此我又怎能心生嫉妒呢？
But now that they have found wealth and fame through their own merit and virtue, how can I harbor jealousy?
就像作为儿子，本来需要父母给钱，但现在他凭借自己的能力赚了不少钱，
They are like a son who originally needed financial support from his parents but later made a lot of money through his own efforts and abilities.
父母对此嫉妒的话，实在有点说不过去。
It really would not make sense for his parents to be jealous.
因此，当别人在财富、声誉、权势等方面比较圆满时，我们不应该生嫉妒心，
Thus, when others find success in obtaining wealth, prestige, or power, we should not be envious;
否则就是着魔了。
if we do, we have fallen under the influence of the demons.
有些人的嫉妒心特别猛烈，
Some people experience powerful jealousy.
看到别人名声大了、钱财多了，内心就特别难受，好像自己的福报被夺走了一样。
When they see others with more fame or wealth than themselves, they feel awful, as if their own merit and fortune had been stolen.
但实际上，别人拥有的一切，跟你半点关系也没有。
But in reality, what others possess has nothing whatsoever to do with you.
就算他有财有势、功成名就，那也都是他的福报，
Their wealth, power, success, and prestige are all because of their own merit and fortune.
你再怎么嫉妒，自己也得不到一点一滴。
No matter how envious you are, you will not share a drop of it.
在我们五明佛学院，三四百个堪布、活佛彼此之间并没有嫉妒心，
At our Larung Gar Five Sciences Buddhist Academy, there really isn’t envy among the three hundred or four hundred khenpos and tulkus;
大家互相赞叹功德，
everyone praises one another’s merit and virtue.
如此无论是住在这里，还是到了别的地方，各自都会相应得到一些名声。
This way, wherever they go, each receives their due prestige.
而现在某些人，认为别人的声誉如日中天，会对自己的名声造成妨碍；
Yet some people believe that the spreading of someone else's fame will eclipse their own reputation,
别人若是名誉扫地，自己便会声名鹊起，
or that another's fall from grace will cause their own star to rise.
这无疑是在痴心妄想。
This is undoubtedly deluded and wishful thinking.
其实，就算全世界的人都拥有圆满功德，对你个人的名声也不会造成丝毫损害；
In fact, even if everyone in the world possessed perfect merit and virtue, it still would not cause the slightest harm to your personal reputation.
反之，假如所有人都活在穷困潦倒中，你也不可能从中得到什么声誉。
On the other hand, if everyone were living in poverty and hardship, you also would not gain any status from that.
因此，当别人具有福报时，我们没必要嫉妒不已，
Therefore, when others possess fortune and merit, there is no need to be so envious.
而应当生起欢喜心，由衷地随喜！
Rather, you should be full of joy and sincerely rejoice for them!
